Slabbing at the Canterbury Show   John Bergman receiving an award at the IAFD

Standing in the crowd at shows is always interesting. Onlookers marvel at the ease with which the Minimax cuts timber.
Typical comments include: "This one is obviously the best" and "The Minimax is very good value for money.
The Forest Industries 2002 fielday went very well in Rotorua. There was a lot of interest in the Minimax. The small scale contractors loved it's production, the husband and wife teams marvelled at it's labour saving, lever operated simplicity, the timber buyers were impressed with the smoothness of the cut and the overseas buyers liked it's simple, robust design.
Mahoe Sawmills were at Mystery Creek with the Minimax, where we demonstrated again our top performing machine.
General comments from the crowds was that the Mahoe Minimax gave you a lot of machine for your money.
The Minimax is a lever operated twinsaw which allowed my husband John Bergman cut stacks of timber in a one man operation.
The Minimax does the work, the twinsaw cuts the log on the way down and returns the board.
Requiring less effort all round, the Minimax is a safe machine to use as you are not working by the blades.
